Abstract No. 60 | Painting on Cardboard

In the quiet moments between creation and discovery, artist Gina Vor transforms what others discard into something breathtaking.

This painting emerged from recycled archival matt—the inner layer left behind after framing, destined for waste until the artist's vision intervened.

What began as sustainable practice became pure artistry, layers of Prussian Blue and deep red converging on cardboard in bold, gestural strokes.

This painting doesn't whisper; it speaks in the language of abstract expressionism, where color and form dissolve boundaries between the intentional and the intuitive.

Each brushstroke carries the artist's hand, the texture of the cardboard surface becoming part of the dialogue between pigment and material.

There is honesty in this work—no pretense, no artifice, just acrylic meeting the surface in a statement about beauty found in what remains.

When you live with this piece, you live with a conversation between restraint and passion, between sustainability and uncompromising artistic vision.

It is a painting that rewards slow looking, that shifts as light moves across your wall, that speaks differently in morning light than in evening shadow.

This is not art created for decoration alone; it is art created because the artist had something essential to say.
