Contemporary bronze, granite and marble sculpture of a flying bird. Unique, one of a kind artwork created by an established Lithuanian artist Vladas Kanciauskas.
This playful artwork has the same title as the well know movie with Jack Nicholson created in 1975.
Long wings of the bird portray a free flight over a metal nest, filled with eight colourful marble eggs.
According to the author of this artwork, every time when this sculpture was exhibited, one of the eggs disappeared and he had to create new ones to make the artwork complete again.
Just as other works created by Mr Kančiauskas, Cuckoo’s nest is really tempting to touch.
